Aquí teneis algunas fotos. La idea era hacer algo serio pero a la vez cercano y que no se alejara mucho de mi estilo. Tuve un problema que lo convertí en “una oportunidad” y es que, cuando hice las tarjetas, todavía no tenía el número inglés. ¿Qué hice? Volver al rollo de escritura manual que tengo en la web. Con un par de detallitos en el cartón e imprimiendo la tarjeta sólo por una cara (parte del logo) me deja toda la otra parte para escribir, dibujar y hacer cualquiera cosa que se me ocurra además de, por supuesto, escribir mi número de teléfono, email y web. A veces está muy bien para dirigirte directamente a la empresa con un mensaje directo. Por supuesto estoy haciendo todas las tarjetas diferentes. Cansa, pero a la vez gratifica. Dentro del CD hay un portfolio digital en PDF que según el sector lo voy cambiando. Aquí y tratando con agencias tan grades, hay que ser muy cuidadoso con lo que enseñas en cada sitio. Están muy ocupados y sólo quieren ver lo que les interesa. Algunas veces, demasiado ocupados para ser agradables… no es muy “humano” pero que se le va a hacer. Eso es otra historia, quizá para otra entrada.

PD2: Por cierto, 98% papel reciclado (se salva el iridiscente de la tira que cierra). Es gracioso pensar en el ciclo de vida de los portfolios. Lo mismo el mío está hecho de otros porfolios y será parte de otros. Por lo menos, ahorramos papel!

I was talking about my portfolio in the last post and I said I was going to show it in the next days. So here you have some pictures. The main idea was to make something serious, elegant but personal and close at the same time without separating so much from my style (website, photos, etc.). I had a problem: when I was making the business cards I didn’t have my english number yet. So, what did i do? I tried to convert this problem in “an oportunity”. Hand writting a pair of things on the cardboard and printing just the logo side of the business card, I have the other just to do whatever I want: draw, write messages… and of course my contact details. Sometimes it’s great to say something directly to the company or agencie you are visiting. And, of course, I’m making them all different from the others. It’s tiring but funny. Inside the CD there is a complete digital portfolio in PDF format. I have different versions depending on wich sector the company is (photography agencies, fashion model agencies, commercial model agencies…). Dealing with top agencies you have to be very picky about what you show to them because they are too busy and don’t want to waste their time. Sometimes too busy to be nice with people… not very human but you can’t do anything about it. But that’s another story, maybe for another post.

PS2: 98% Recycled Paper. Is fun to think about “portfolio’s cycle of life. Maybe mine is made of other portfolios and will be part of another portfolios in a future. At least, we are not wasting paper.






I’m sorry, Pictures sucks and you can’t see the other side of the paper but I just wanted to show it to you. It’s A3 size folded. I’ll show it to you later with better pictures. | Siento que las fotos sean un poco cutres y que no se pueda ver la otra cara del A3 pero era por enseñarlo. Lo enseñaré mas adelante con mejores fotos.

Inauguro una nueva sección: 5 minutos para aprender. Videotutoriales que enseñarán efectos o técnicas básicas o con una base sencilla pero que quede bien. El primero es sobre blanquear pieles, algo que está bastante de moda y que mucha gente pregunta como hacer. Aquí teneis la base, luego corre a costa vuestra el perfeccionarlo.
